Keenan, who started training in the 90s under the legendary Rickson Gracie is known among the BJJ community. Fans of MJK might remember the time he demonstrated his skills during a TOOL show in London years ago when he apprehended a stage invader and pinned him to the ground. In November 2021, Keenan reached a major milestone in the martial art by being awarded his brown belt, putting him one promotion away from the coveted black belt.

Keenan has been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu for years, and has spoken about the practice in interviews. In 2015, he told Metal Hammer that jiu-jitsu is about “finding your boundaries” and that it’s “a humbling experience.” He also spoke about how training in jiu-jitsu helps him learn about his place in the world and exceed his limitations.

The class will be held in two sessions, and space is limited. Interested participants can visit verdevalleybjj.com for more information and to book their spot by calling 928-963-6173 or emailing [email protected]. This is a unique opportunity for anyone interested in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to learn from a skilled and experienced instructor, and is not to be missed.
