About Me

Based out of Vancouver, Canada but from Ireland originally, I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu about 7 years ago. I trained until purple belt under Marcus Soares in Downtown Vancouver, but since July 2022 I have been training at GF Team in Burnaby, BC.

This site was created because I wanted to contribute to the BJJ community and create a place to share news, tips, techniques and conversation. For the most part this site caters to the novice or hobbyist grappler, a category I would definitely put myself in. At Grappler HQ, there are no topics too basic and no stupid questions – I want to share the grappling arts with the world regardless of where the reader comes from or what level they are at.
