Gi Fit Checklist
Start with your measurements, then check the chart for the exact gi you want. A size label alone cannot tell you whether the jacket and trousers will work for you.
1. Record your starting point
Use the units requested by the manufacturer. Measure again if your previous numbers are estimates.
Height / units
Current body weight / units
Current gi brand, model and size (if you have one)
What fits well? Where does it restrict movement or feel too loose?
2. Compare exact models
Check whether the chart describes body size or garment measurements. If the brand supplies garment dimensions, follow its diagram and measurement method; do not compare differently measured numbers.
